A New Approach to Open Houses in Cary, Illinois

This new concept is a unique approach to presenting your home to the weekend visitors and has some real advantages.  We hope this feature will help with you your Cary relocation efforts.

Your home, and others listed by the team, are advertised to be open between the hours of 1 pm - 4 pm on the weekends. Anyone interested in viewing the home pages the agent on call and requests a showing - the agent will arrive within 10 minutes and show the home. Sellers are asked to be somewhat on alert in that time frame and ready to vacate the home should a showing be requested. They are welcome to otherwise be at home for the afternoon.

Sellers benefit as well in that they will know by that evening if any of the homes had showing requests and therefore have a good idea as to whether or not there were shoppers that weekend. With a traditional open house, they will only have a traffic report on their property, but not on the community in general.

Another benefit to the program is that the Team offers it every weekend, whereas a traditional open house is rarely held more than once per property. If a traditional open house is scheduled and advertised and the weather keeps buyers at home, it ends up being a waste of time.

Buyers benefit because they are able to page the agent and then drive the neighborhood while they wait. As well, they are able to ask the agent when they page them any specifics about the home that may rule it out and not waste their time. Another benefit to buyers is that they do have an opportunity to get more information from a knowledgeable agent who can share some of the less obvious benefits of living in that particular community.

While many agents do use open houses as opportunities to meet buyers who have yet to be represented by an agent, the Realtor-On-Call program is used only to gain exposure for the seller’s home.
