The author of this guide, Mary McDonald, is a long-time resident of Cary, and can think of no better place in the world to live!  Mary is a licensed ABR - ASP Broker and owner of a home staging business in Cary, Illinois.

Mary McDonald is a member of the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council, the association for professionals who manage and oversee employee transfer.  She can advise potential home buyers on not only the community of Cary, IL, but also the ins-and-outs of the general relocation process.  A move to another community is no trivial matter, especially if you are coming from another state or even out of the country.

Mary is also a member of the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS), which trains and advises its members on how to work in the buyers' and seller's best interests.  Among other things, CRS members learn the finer points of home buying / selling negotiation and how to facilitate trouble free closings on behalf of their clients.  The CRS designation is the highest professional designation awarded to REALTORS in the residential sales field, and it has been estimated that fewer than 4% of all active Realtors also hold a CRS designation.
